Dr. Shashi Dharma, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a board certified ophthalmologist in clinical practice for over 26 years. She sub-specializes in retina and glaucoma. She completed her training in ophthalmology at L.S.U. Eye Center – Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, LA, U.T. Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX, and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary – Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA.

She is an associate clinical professor at U.T. Southwestern Medical School. She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons, member of the Dallas County Medical Society and Surgical Eye Expedition International volunteer. Her primary focus includes diabetic retinopathy, advanced glaucoma, macular degeneration, intravitreal injections for wet macular degeneration and advanced diabetic retinopathy and other retinal conditions, ocular trauma, and/or retinal diseases such as retinal detachment and retinal tears. She performs up-to-date treatment such as:

• Intravitreal Avastin®, Lucentis®, Triessence ®,Ozurdex® , Eylea®  Injections
• All laser treatments for retinal and glaucoma diseases
• All Surgeries for retinal/Glaucoma diseases

Patients with diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, uveitis, retinal detachment, glaucoma, ocular trauma, or any retinal problems are welcome to our office.
